It's ACTUALLY: Monday, August 3rd, 2009

i make believe that you are here.
(it's the only way I see clear)

hey bitches and hos. I seriously haven't written in decades, right? Damn. Anyhow, I'm gonna be a junior soon. Holy crap. That means I'm old now, doesnt it? Whew. I remember the messed up good ol' freshman times like they were yesterday- not almost two years ago. Man. I adopted little freshmen last year.. And now they're going to adopt freshies and I'm going to be a grandmama. Well... Before I get to be a junior... I gotta do all the summer work. Ugh. I hate that part. (Doesn't everyone, though? It's a part of hating school altogether) Currently I'm working two jobs that don't pay much. I don't do it for the money anyways, because I work at Planned Parenthood to work towards getting the things all schools should already have- but don't.... Meaning comprehensive (Not abstinence only) sexual education. Recently I went with a few co-workers to DC and we lobbied to get the health care reform bill to pass not only for what it stood for at the time- but for reproductive necessities- like birth control, pap smears, mammograms, and STD testing and treatment. Health care provided for everyone is great- but including these important elements to the bill would make it outstanding. (Don't you agree?) Luckily, we did not go unheard- apparently our voices stood out and our representatives pushed for our ideas when it came to the official meetings and what-not. You don't think that as youth you have power? Guess what?
You do.

wanna see the DC greatness? us...
at a press conference
on the steps of the Capitol
being excited to meet with the representatives (of our representatives)
and finally...
not being allowed on the steps of the Supreme Court.
